Fabian Berru, MD
Board-Certified Family Physician
For Dr. Fabian Berru, medicine is more than a career—it is a calling. Rooted in his Christian faith, he views caring for others as an opportunity to honor God through service. As a board-certified family physician, he provides comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages and is committed to building lasting relationships with the individuals and families he serves.
Born in Ecuador and raised in Florida, Dr. Berru is fluent in both English and Spanish. He believes the best medical care begins with listening carefully, communicating clearly, and helping patients make informed decisions about their health. His approach emphasizes prevention, healthy living, and treatment grounded in the best available medical evidence.
Dr. Berru earned his bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Florida before earning his medical degree from the UAB Heersink School of Medicine. He completed his clinical training through the UAB Huntsville Regional Medical Campus and his Family Medicine Residency at UAB Huntsville. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Throughout residency, he earned the highest in-training examination scores in his graduating class each year. He later achieved the highest score on the American Board of Family Medicine certification examination and received the Clinical Excellence Award. His professional interests include preventive medicine, cardiovascular risk reduction, lipid management, obesity medicine, nutrition, and exercise as medicine.
Outside the office, Dr. Berru enjoys traveling with his family, staying active, and spending time with his wife, Taylor, their daughters, Mia and Olivia, and their two dogs, Avery and Addey. They are active members of the Catholic Church and are grateful to call Marshall County home, where they look forward to caring for and serving the families of the community for many years to come.
